Every year on 21st of February, people all over the world celebrate International Mother Language Day. This year we mark the day under the theme “Towards Sustainable Futures through Multilingual Education”.
To acknowledge the special day Irushadhiyya staff and students came to school in traditional wear. All gathered in the school hall to participate in the activities carried out for the Mother Language Day.
Students spoke in different Mother Languages of our teachers who are from various parts Maldives and India. Students of grade 10 spoke about the importance of Mother Language for everyone as it helps us to communicate with our people.
The function came to an end with a role-play by 9B students on the importance of preserving our own Mother Language.
