A special forum to revive the spirit of Ramadan was conducted in Irushaadhiyya School on 1st of July 2016 (26th Ramadan 1437). In this forum 6 students from grade 9 compared and contrasted the eating, drinking and sleeping habits of our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) with modern sciences using inspirational presentations.

Students mainly highlighted the benefits of eating according to the advice of the Prophet that is filling the stomach 1/3 with food, 1/3 with water and leaving the other 1/3 for air.

Regarding drinking habits of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) it is found that the prophet advised to sit down and drink water.

Talking about sleeping habits, students emphasised that the Prophet used to retire to his bed he would lie on his right side. Apart from this students also stressed the importance of taking a nap in the afternoon as per the sleeping habits of the Prophet.

Today, after 1400 years, scientists have proven that it is indeed the best way of life through their tons of researches and studies. The session was concluded with few paragraphs from the book ‘The Greatest Man in the Universe’ followed by a special Dhu’aa.
